Shawn Hadley helps his clients achieve maximum health, wellness and healing in mind, body and spirit. Through various bodywork, meditative, yoga and spiritual modalities, Shawn can help you in many areas as you journey to a life of optimum wellness.

Do some of these scenarios ring true for you?

I have unmanageable stress in my life and would like to find a way of dealing with it so it doesn't affect my ability to deal with daily activities. Every little issue is beginning to seem huge and I find myself getting very frustrated and short-tempered with others as I am constantly stressed out. Having a place I could go to unwind, relax, and get clear on the how I can relieve and manage stress is important to me.

I have beliefs about myself that seem to be holding me back from being my true self. At times I realize my potential, but find myself falling back to old patterns that keep me from reaching my full potential. I would like to establish a practice that will enable me to break the old patterns that are keeping me back and find out what I can really do in this life!

I have difficulty focusing on daily responsibilities and typically find myself living in the past or future. I feel like I am constantly spinning my wheels. I am not sure if I am bored, but I find my mind full of chatter and this is something I want to understand more about. I don't really know where to start, but I would like to find solutions that will help me live life fully in the present moment.

I have difficulty dealing with my emotions and at times I become them. During these times I find myself out of control and don't like it. I say and do things I don't mean to say and do and I end up regretting it later. I would like to have a practice to start observing my emotions and learning how to let them go.

I have chronic pain and limitations of my physical body. I have had an injury that has gone unnoticed until now and it is consuming my life and keeping me from doing the things that I love. I want to find a way to relieve the pain so I can do the things I love!

I am athlete/recreational warrior looking to get more out of my sports and compete/recreate at a higher level. I am beginning to realize I have beliefs and thoughts that keep me from doing my best and staying focused. I want to find a way to reduce these limitations so I can perform to my fullest capacity and in the "zone".

I have pain from repetitive motion and notice my posture is anything but perfect. I am unable to do simple movements and the things I enjoy without nagging pain. I want to find a way to relieve the pain so I can be comfortable living my life and doing the things I love.

Shawn has been a great inspiration. He has helped me connect with my spiritual self and through our sessions created a gateway to help me pursue my own well-being. Through his technique, Shawn has shown a caring touch that has guided me to certain goals I have set for myself. I have overwhelming appreciation for the times I have worked with him.

Mental and Spiritual Wholeness and Healing

Body/Mind/Spirit Separation
During our session I approach my work with you from a holistic perspective and address the body, mind and spirit as one, which brings a sense of wholeness and awareness of non-separation. You may experience and achieve altered states of consciousness, which enable a sense of oneness to deeply penetrate your being.

Endless Thoughts, Lack of Concentration and Focus
I can help you to begin to simply observe thoughts through the practice of meditation while receiving bodywork, integration of bodywork with yoga, guiding you in meditation off the table and giving you meditations and yoga postures (asanas) to practice between sessions, thus increasing concentration and focus, and decreasing the attachment to endless thoughts.

Lack of Centeredness and Grounding, Disconnected from Oneself and Others
Bodywork Yoga Integration (BYI) sessions enable clients to find a space within their bodies to somatically connect to themselves and the world around them, thus finding a place of centeredness and grounding. We practice using the space off the table and mat to bring into your daily life and those you are in relationship with. Oxycotin levels are also increased while receiving bodywork, a hormone that is associated to bonding and feelings of attachment.

Lack of Somatic Awareness, Discharge of Emotional and Physical Energy
During our session you will begin to somatically become aware of tension, blockages and pain that will begin to shift and move and enable you to increase your awareness and find ways to release the energy in your being before it piles up.

Lack of Joy, Ability to Cope and Following Through
During the session you will experience neuroendocrine chemical processes or physiological responses that give rise to higher levels of integrated thought, such as beliefs and values, interpreting context and meaning, making plans and predicting, choosing, and carrying through with your dreams.

As a chiropractor I deal with many massage therapists. I am always impressed with Shawn's knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics and his eagerness to understand soft tissue ailments from a structural standpoint as well as integrating the Eastern philosophies he has studied and the spiritual undertones that are so evident in chronic conditions and not often understood by most. I know that when I receive bodywork from Shawn it is a holistic treatment that goes beyond the "superficial massage" realm and dives into the therapeutic level of healing the body, mind and spirit.

No one said the long road of recovery was easy, especially as a pedestrian hit by a drunk driver. Shawn is amazing, not only does he help with bodywork, he helps relieve stress and to strive for balance. After struggling with everyday tasks and the demands as a busy corporate professional, I came to appreciate Shawn's grounded healing approach. It was more than just healing scarred muscles, pain and tension; it was about a holistic approach for my optimum health, well-being and peace of mind.

Case Studies

Physical Pain
Angie has suffered from chronic hip pain for a good part of her adult life. Often her hip pain would be so uncomfortable she would have difficulty sitting for more than a couple of hours and would often have severe pain while walking. She visited her doctor for relief, but was only given pain medications and instructions to stay off of using her hip, which didn't bring the relief she was seeking and if anything seemed to make matters worse.

The first step in relieving Angie from pain was to get her to relax and get the hip muscles to begin to unwind and release naturally. We began bodywork therapy sessions twice a month, focusing on the hip rotator, lower back and thigh regions, incorporating breathing and visualization techniques to bring vitality to the constrained muscle, connective tissue and joints. We then incorporated simple stretching exercises to the program that Angie could do between sessions and at times when the hip pain became an issue. Lastly we incorporated yoga and movement therapy to the program to continue the release of tension and increase vitality.

Angie is still dealing with her hip pain, but it is now manageable and not a limiting factor in her life. Her bodywork therapy sessions are down to once a month and she has incorporated a weekly yoga practice into her life, both of which continue to bring her tremendous relief.

Are you struggling with a limiting part of your body? Do you frequently find yourself in pain and suffering from simple movement? Have you tried seeking relief in the medical community with no help other than prescription drugs and rest. If Angie's story sounds familiar I may be able to help you. I have helped many others with similar painful and limiting issues. We can evaluate solutions to help and empower you to live a life full of pain free movement and enable you to gain the freedom you desire to do the things you love. Stress and Anxiety
Carol, the president and owner of a small real estate business, has suffered from work related stress and anxiety and finds it difficult to stay focused and positive while at work. She truly loves her work, but was finding herself very short with employees and getting frustrated with daily responsibilities. Her interest in growing her business had even diminished and simply maintaining was becoming an issue. She wasn't even sure if she even wanted to continue with her career and felt like she had no place to turn for help.

The first step was simply listening to what Carol was struggling with and offer some simple ways to help her stay calm and centered and not get overwhelmed by the "big picture" at work, incorporating breathing and visualization techniques. We began to set intentions before each session that focused on bringing balance and harmony to her life and body and incorporated meditation techniques to begin to develop "the observer perspective". Then while receiving bodywork we focused on opening the areas of limited energy flow to release the tension she was building up during her stressful career and create an awareness of these areas in her body so she could begin to release them as they developed. Finally we incorporated yoga and movement therapy to the program to continue the release of stress and anxiety of every day life.

Carol has since been building momentum and is amazed by how much better she feels emotionally and physically. In fact she is now looking forward to adding more work to her plate and "taking over an additional 120 units in a very difficult market". She is continuing to integrate her bodywork therapy sessions and weekly yoga practice into her life, both of which bring her tremendous relief.

Are you struggling with a stressful and anxiety filled career? Do you frequently find yourself having difficulty staying focused and positive at work? If Carol's story sounds familiar I may be able to help you. I have helped many others with similar stressful and frustrating issues. We can evaluate solutions to help and empower you to live a life full of contentment, harmony and balance and enable you to find passion to do the things you love. Stuck Energy and Digestive Disorders
Rachel suffered from digestive disorders and limited energy flow within the associated meridians/energy channels. Her condition was extremely uncomfortable at times and caused a great deal of frustration and anger in her life. She has worked with a number of other practitioners to treat her condition with little or short-lived results.

The first step in addressing Rachel's condition was to evaluate her lifestyle and determine what was out of balance from an energetic and physiological perspective. We also consulted with her practitioners, both current and previous, to see what we could do differently and/or complement what is being done currently. We then adapted her bodywork therapy sessions to specifically focus on bringing balance to the digestive system and increase the flow of energy throughout her body through the use of deep tissue massage and energy balancing techniques. Finally we integrated simple breathing and visualization techniques to maintain the benefits between sessions.

Rachel is still contending with her digestive disorders, but is finding more relief each day and her bodywork treatments are holding. She is learning to simply accept where she is at and her anger and frustration has diminished almost entirely. We are continuing to work in relationship with her other practitioners and optimistic at finding means to eliminate her conditions entirely.

Are you struggling with a physiological and or energetic disorder? Do you find yourself struggling or getting frustrated and angered by them? If Rachel's story sounds familiar I may be able to help you. I have helped many others with similarly painful and frustrating issues. We can evaluate solutions to help and empower you to live a life full of balance and acceptance and enable you to live life freely. Give me a call today to schedule your appointment.
